Artwork hangs on permanent display at the Terbregge City Hall in Rotterdam, Holland, as part of a memorial exhibit dedicated to the liberation of Holland by Allied forces at the end of World War II. Commissioned by Willem Ridder (author of "Countdown to Freedom"), these paintings honor the many U.S., Canadian, and British Lancaster bomber crews which dropped 6,672 tons of food within Nazi-occupied Holland from April 29th through May 8th, 1945, saving 3.5 million Dutch citizens from certain starvation.
